Hobart, Tasmania a glimpse in to Australia’s smallest historical capital

Known as the harbor capital of Tasmania, Hobart is positioned in South East point of the State of Tasmania and is based at the bottom of majestic and awesome Mount Wellington. World famous as being Australia’s smallest capital with a rich historical heritage, Hobart is the gateway point for visitors entering the South East part of Tasmania. The city with its mix of the traditional and modern day cultural arts is a main attraction for the arts and crafts enthusiasts from all over the world. The city’s origins dates back to the 1803 and is therefore, the second oldest capital next to Sydney. With a population of 212,019 at 2009 census, the city acts as the financial hub of Tasmania State. With a calming oceanic climate and mild temperatures the city is a haven for the outdoor fun activity seekers and the Mount Field National park and the Huon Valley are important land mark attractions. The North Hobart restaurants and cafes pay homage to excellent culinary wonders and are famous for their alfresco style dining experiences.
