Cairns, Queensland a great regional city

This far north city was named after W.W. Cairns who was the then Governor of Queensland. This secluded town was built to serve miners who were travelling to the goldfield in Hodgkinson River. The population of the town declined because a simpler and easier route was discovered through Port Douglas. Cairns has a lot of exports which include sugar cane, gold and other precious metals, it is also rich in minerals and it is a also a farming region. This town is great holiday destination and tourism is one of its main revenue generators. The people of Cairns are not only friendly but they are fun loving and very easy going.
This town is blessed with a tropical climate and it has a lot of great travel destinations and sites to see. Some of the very popular sites and travel destinations include The Great Barrier Reef, Cape Tribulation, Daintree National Park and an ever expanding tropical rainforest. The city is surrounded with great scenic views and various parks. It also has an exotic swimming lagoon and topless sun bathing is allowed in this area. Even though this area just like other areas is prone to cyclones and typhoons it is still a very nice place to visit.

Bundaberg, Queensland (Town)

Bundaberg is certainly one place to visit when you are on a vacation in Australia. The Ballat, Victoria is a city state of Victoria in Australia and is located about 105km north-west to the capital state city Melbourne. Visit Frankston, Victoria (Town)

Frankston is said to be the gateway to Morning Peninsula which is rich in holiday resorts, wineries and fishing towns. Port Douglas, Queensland is a great place to visit

This exotic town was first found and established in 1877, it was founded due to a nearby gold discovery, population grew rapidly and then it fell suddenly. This was mainly due to the construction and building of the Scenic railway from Kuranda which was built in 1891. This very scenic port has had many ups and down over the years, the most significant being the cyclone that leveled it in 1911.This lovely town has grown in to a darling holiday Mecca. There are some many wonderful sites and fun things to do.
Port Douglas has a very nice beach which is four miles long, it also has a rich and full wilderness section or inlet. This town receives well over thousand visitors and tourists each year sand it has 5 star accommodations, shops, restaurants and galleries. The food is divine and the people are fun loving and very sociable. You will feel at home in this great international holiday resort. You can opt to walk on the beach at night, you can play a few rounds of golf or you can take a ride on the old steam train. This town was also blessed with a unique rainforest area and you can get first hand tropical life experience. There is a daily cruise and you can go deep sea diving and explore the reef.
